New CTO for Patients First
Patients First is delighted to announce that it has secured the services of Andre Bredenkamp as its new Chief Technology Officer.
Andre has had a long association with Patients First and its work in the sector, having previously led several key programmes.
“I am buoyed by Andre joining the Patients First team. His sector and industry experience is exceptional. He brings with him a great deal of institutional knowledge about our organisation and primary and secondary care information programmes.” says Patients First CEO Jayden MacRae.
While previously contracted to Patients First and working in collaboration with GP software companies, Andre delivered the GP2GP electronic notes transfer product in 2011.
Andre has also contributed to the New Zealand ePrescription Service, an initiative designed to improve patient service and experience when collecting prescribed medicines.
Andre’s first involvement with the New Zealand Health sector started in June 2005 with the successful migration of Hutt DHB Breast Screening System to Soprano – part of the ORION suite of systems.
“One of the keys to improved healthcare is sharing of critical information with the right people at the right time.”, says Bredenkamp,“I am looking forward to building on my established base in Patients First, and supporting integration between the various systems to deliver the promise of integrated care. Sharing the right information with the right person at the right time.”
